Collett’s Corner

Collett’s Corner is four story building in the heart of Lyttleton, New Zealand. The project is designed to build a community centred around wellbeing. The lower two floors are occupied by Ūkaipō, an indigenous led wellbeing sanctuary. The upper two floors have 20 co-living apartments with a shared rooftop partially enclosed with cooking facilities and gathering areas. The project was intended to be not for profit, along with the intention for all tenants to serve building community through being driven by collectives for collectives.

“Major headwinds have caused us to rethink the project and whether we can deliver it as planned. We have recently learned about increased risks to the project due to changes in the lending landscape, higher construction costs and slow apartment sales.”
