Katikati Co-housing

Closer began with a preliminary site concept of a nineteen home co-housing development for a site in Kati Kati. An initial concept stage explored three approaches to the site, along with preliminary concept plans for the medium density dwellings. These were then developed into a final concept, that included sun modelling to ensure good solar access to all dwellings, food growing spaces and shared communal areas.

“There’s a significant mismatch between the type of houses we need and those that are being built, not to mention the price they are costing us.”
